Las circunstancias y los hechos -cantidad de experiencia-, obedecen a un destino (no como mera sanción). Ese que no da mayores posibilidades de elección; pero que recomienda esperanza e inutiliza la amargura, para llevar a sus protagonistas a una total justificación de lo que nada puede justificarse. ¿Elige o no elige el hombre? Digamos, pues, que dentro de un marco de ilusiones sí lo hace. Los habitantes se preocupan por vivir mejor, y eso los lleva a dos situaciones -aunque de poca significación, les da pautas de vida-: ignorar o esperar.
La intencionalidad es hacer un vehemente llamado a la conciencia de que no estamos solos en el universo; y además que no somos la mejor de las especies. Pues aunque seamos maduros emocionales, no tenemos la inteligencia para manejarlas.
